Our Peeps Diorama Contests is going prehistoric to introduce this year's dinosaur-inspired Summer Reading theme!

Create a dinosaur scene based on your favorite book, movie, or your own imagination, and bring your Peeps to life! However you design it - funny, factual, or fierce - we can't wait to see your prehistoric pieces of art!

  • The diorama should be the size of a shoe box.
  • Submit your diorama to the Rapid City Public Library between Wednesday, April 1 and Saturday, April 18.
  • Fill out the submission sheet on the back of the Peeps flyer (you can get one at the library!). Include your name, the title of your diorama, your age group, and your phone number so that we can contact you if you win!
  • Dioramas will be displayed on the landing of the stairs throughout April.
  • Voting is open to the community Sunday, April 19 - Sunday, April 26, through Google Forms. Scan the code, enter your email address, and vote for your favorite dioramas!
  • 3 winners will be announced and contacted on Monday, April 27, and will win a special prize basket filled with books, accessories, snacks, and more!

We don't want you to have to go to the grocery store just for Peeps. You can pick up a free pack (while supplies last) with your books at the library or create some of your own out of paper, pom-poms, pipe-cleaners, and any other crafty material at home!

Create your diorama with us at our Peeps Diorama Build Day event on Sunday, April 12, from 2-4 p.m. Bring your creativity and a diorama box, and we'll provide the supplies to decorate with!

Please note that all Peeps Dioramas not picked up by Friday, May 1 will be disposed of.
